PYJAMA WEEK FOR MADDIE
Maddie is in real need of a soft tissue shouler re-construction operation so she can fulfil her dream of going to Dance College in London. Unfortunatey private surgery is her only option and she has worked so hard over the last ten years to get to this point in her chosen career. Here at SSS we hosted a 'Pyjama Week' to support her, donations were brought to class. We are so pleased we all helped Maddie reach the total she needed.

JUDE TO STAR IN KINKY BOOTS
Huge well done to Jude who sucessfully auditioned for the role as young Charlie in Kinky Boots at Leeds Grand Theatre in April. Well done Jude we can't wait to come and watch.

MEGAN SHINES AS THE NARRATOR
Our very own SSS Pupil Meg Darcy has been on as the Narrator in the UK Tour of 'Jospeh and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat'. What an amazing achievement for someone so young, we are beyond proud of her. Dreams really do come true!!!
IDTA DANCE AWARD NOMINATIONS
Huge congratulations to Maddy and Hannah who have both been nominated for the IDTA Theatre Dance Awards after recently taking their Intermediate Modern Jazz Exam with a massive scores of 95 and 97! Hannah was also nominated following her Intermediate Ballet Exam. Such hard working, dedicated students who deserve every success. We are so proud of you both!
BIRD COLLEGE - FIRST YEARS
Good luck to Dom, Maddy and Hannah who started their degrees this week at Bird College. It was an emotional time last week week when it was their final classes with SSS. It just won't be the same without you, we will miss them so much. We have no doubt they will work hard and look out for eachother.

CELEBRATION OF YOUTH 2022 at THE GLOBE, BLACKPOOL
Wow what a show!! Some of our SSS students took part in a charity show at The Globe, Pleasure Beach, Blackpool on Sunday 1st May. We are so proud of every single student who took part! Their performances were amazing! Can we also thank all those who chaperoned as it could not happen without you. The teamwork shown was outstanding and to perform so flawlessly on such a unique stage impressed all of us! A huge well done!
SUMMER SHOW ‘IT’S ALL HAPPENING!’
This year we are excited to be returning to The Carriageworks, Leeds for our annual summer show. The performances will be on 23rd and 24th July 2022. We cannot wait!!

Dom auditioned for Bird College and was offered a place during his interview on the BA(hons) course in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. We are so happy he had a change of heart and changed his career path. Dom was born for the stage! Well Done!!

What an amazing time Maddy has had with her recent auditions. She has been offered a place at both Bird College and Performers during her interviews for the BA (hons) Professional Dance and Musical Theatre programme. She has also been offered a place at Laine Theatre Arts. Big decisions to make, we are so proud of you.
UNIVERSAL BEIJING RESORT
Lilyella has been offered a once in a lifetime contract at the brand new Universal Studios in Beijing China. She will fly out next month to start this exciting adventure. Good Luck Lilyella!
SLEEPING BEAUTY PANTOMIME
We want to say well done to all our dancers who performed in the Pantomime 'Sleeping Beauty' through December. The shows were fantastic with great feedback from the audience. Everyone had an amazing time. Thank you to the actors, dancers, chaperones and all those who supported by coming along to watch. It was the perfect lead up to Christmas.
WHITE CHRISTMAS
We are so proud of Megan who made her professional debut in the UK Tour 'White Christmas' after graduating from Bird College in Summer. Megan did an amazing job playing the role of Rhoda and was the first cover for the lead role Betty. We are so proud of her and no one deserves it more.

After our recent exam session 93% of our pupils passed with distinction and 26 with over 90%. We are so proud of everyone’s hard work and commitment after such a tough 18 months.
